Owned by the Board of Trustees of Loyola Marymount University, KXLU is operated in the public interest by its student, faculty, and volunteer staff.

KXLU offers one of the only opportunities in the Los Angles radio market for students to gain practical experience in all aspects of radio broadcasting.

KXLU recognizes a special relationship to the University and is committed to being an active and participatory member in campus life as well as being particularly responsible and responsive to the needs of the LMU community
